One of Europe's finest tourist destinations runs from Kinsale to the Dursey Sound and the level of investment over the past five years in developing the tourism infrastructure of Cork South West has been very substantial.

The Operational Programme on Tourism, The Leader Programme, schemes such as Urban Renewal, Business Expansion Scheme and National Lottery have helped to provide and develop a wide range of tourist facilities across the length and breath of West Cork.

The level of investment has really made a huge difference to its development and the region is now synonymous with beauty, superb food, very attractive towns and villages, good pubs, great people and above all excellent accommodation and facilities tailored to meet the needs of young and old.

It is a source of great pride to me when in the course of my travels I hear people talk so favorably about our locality and in particular about the tidiness and image of our towns and villages.
